The European Comission has been in a constant fight against social network platforms, as they keep content related to terrorism active and intact and don't help with the investigations.
With the new rule created, the social platforms will have one hour to delete material flagged as terrorist content by law enforcement.
Although the comission gave time to these platforms to figure out exactly how much time they would need to take the necessary measures on this matter, the truth is that the European Comission is not happy about it. Julian King, the EU’s commissioner for security, told the Financial Times that Brussels hasn’t “seen enough progress” from the platforms and that it would “take stronger action in order to better protect our citizens”.
